Supastars Academy is a weekly rock and pop academy held every Sunday morning from 09:30 to 12:30 at The Stanway School, Stanway, Colchester.
We are delighted to be able to offer four students special bursary of a 50% funded ten week course designed for families with a low income.
At Supastars Academy students can learn to play instruments and form bands with the assistance of expert facilitators, culminating in playing real gigs. We teach Guitar, Bass, Drums and Vocals and we have a part funded course available in each discipline. Additionally our students learn stagecraft, backing vocals, recording techniques and much more.
Supastars Academy director and facilitator Stuart Hardy said:
“When we first conceived Supastars Academy we wanted to make our services available to as broad a range of students as possible. We are very aware of the financial demands on families with young people, particularly in the current climate. Our hope is that this 50% bursary offers some lower income families the opportunity for their own budding ”Supastars” to come along and realize their potential.
Applicants are invited to apply either by email or telephone and the places will be offered on a first come first served basis subject to meeting satisfactory criteria. We will offer places to one of each from Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums and Vocalists.
Note for parents and guardians:
All Supastars Academy tutors are Enhanced CRB certified.
In addition to musical education students will learn valuable life skills like team work and collaboration, listening skills, creativity, discipline, dedication, attaining goals, compromise and a lot more besides.
