Prested Hall near Colchester is an intimate private country house hotel known for its caring staff, delicious food, lovely bedrooms, relaxed atmosphere and extensive leisure facilities.

The Hall has 12 bedrooms, with comfortable beds and fine linens, and period reception rooms, with original features throughout. In contrast, The Dingle is a modern room with a wow factor (once a former generator shed, just a stroll away from The Hall. Six serviced apartments (with one and two bedrooms) are available in Prested’s health club next door.

Each bedroom at Prested is different in style, but comfort and attention to detail are evident throughout. All have TVs with DVD. Wi-Fi is available foc in all bedrooms and communal areas, and superior rooms have Freeview LCD TVs (with DVD.).  The Dingle has satellite tv

Prested is popular for conferences and functions, and the whole house is available for exclusive hire for weddings, house parties and business retreats. The grounds are ideal for team-building events, workshops and outdoor activities.

During health club opening hours, hotel guests are welcome to use the beautiful 20-metre indoor pool, sauna and steam facilities.  Seasoned gym users will be asked to undergo a fitness test with a fitness instructor before using the modern, very well-equipped gym.  The health club also has an Elemis spa and a number of therapists offering a range of treatments.

Prested’s 75-acre setting seems a world away from The A12 at the end of a long tree-lined drive. Kelvedon Station is just a mile away and Stansted Airport about 30 minutes. Harwich is about 40 minutes away.

Prested has an organic vegetable garden and orchard and the produce is used whenever possible.

Directions:
From South Take M25 to Junction 28. Follow A12 northbound for approx. 30 minutes past Chelmsford and Witham taking Kelvedon exit. After 2 miles through Kelvedon and Feering take right hand fork signposted Prested Hall . At small roundabout check for oncoming traffic from left before crossing over into our drive.
From north Take A12 Kelvedon exit. Our entrance is almost immediately on slip road. Follow drive down to Prested Hall.
