Quench their thirst for freedom with free cycling lessons for your children this summer


Who doesn’t remember the day the stabilisers came off the bike? After talking and walking, learning to ride is one of the key moments in your child’s development. And like everything else, you want them to do it safely. That’s why Britvic have teamed up with Cycle Confident to give away free cycling proficiency lessons this summer.  

What is Fruit Shoot Hydro?

Fruit Shoot Hydro is a water based drink designed to keep older kids hydrated during the active summer months. As a healthy alternative to fizzy drinks it is available in three tasty flavours: Blackcurrant, Orange & Pineapple and Raspberry & Apple.

A little bit about Cycle Confident…

Whether they need a quick refresh or are absolute beginners, your children couldn’t be in safer hands.

Cycle Confident has been providing cycle training since 2007. They have one primary aim, to empower as many children and adults as possible to use their bicycles as part of their everyday lives. As a cycle training provider they have the capacity and expertise to deliver National Standards and Bikeability training to a wide range of trainees from children, to adults, to those with disabilities nationwide.

Bikeability has been ‘designed to give the next generation the skills and confidence to ride their bikes on today’s roads.’ But the experience has to also be fun! Courses encourage kids to learn, practice and enjoy Bikeability training.

Children finish the course with skills of safe cycling and happy memories of using the bicycle. Smiles and safety go hand in hand.

There are 200 places available in your area and the lessons will take place in the grounds of THE NORTH PRIMARY SCHOOL, COLCHESTER, CO1 1RP. The lessons will take place in small groups of 12 children and will last 2 hours. There will be 2 lessons a day running for 5 days from the 22nd August. 

All you have to do to get a place for your child/children is email fruitshootcycling@getsavvy.com stating your location and how many children you want to enter onto the lesson.  You will then be emailed a code so that you can book a specific time slot directly with Cycle Confident.
