Description

Firstsite is a contemporary visual arts organisation based in Colchester with a mission to make contemporary art relevant to everyone.

Our integrated programme of work includes projects, exhibitions and publications by established and emerging artists, as well as extensive learning opportunities and artists’ support initiatives.

Our new space at Short Wyre Street will feature an opportunity to visit artists in residence, take part in workshops and select gifts from our shop.

Firstsite's new purpose built home, designed by Rafael Vinoly Architects in Colchester High Street is due to open soon.

Colchester's inspiring visual arts destination can be hired for your conference, seminar, club or society meeting, and for parties and functions. We are now taking bookings for dates following our public opening in September 2011.

Located in the heart of Colchester, within easy reach of all its shops and cultural attractions, firstsite provides a spectacular backdrop to any event.
