Castle Park

Colchester's Castle Park is an award-winning oasis of horticultural splendour in Colchester's town centre.  Set behind Colchester's famous Castle, it includes a modern children's play area, cafe, riverside walks, crazy golf, putting green and boating lake.  The gardens are always beautifully maintained and offer the perfect surroundings for a leisurely stroll.  The park also hosts various events throughout the year including Party in the Park.

Dogs and bicycles are welcome in Lower Castle Park but not permitted in Upper Castle Park.

Open all year round from dawn to dusk.  Gates are locked at night, please check times on the gates as these vary throughout the year.
