More and more people have access to the web and research has shown that most consumers regularly use it to access local information, such as news, weather, services, things to do, shopping and family activities on websites such as YourColchester.

There will always be a place for a local newspaper but a web search can deliver local information faster and in more detail that trawling through a newspaper - plus it's better for the environment!

What we aim to do on the YourColchester website is to provide an online resource for people who live in Colchester, local businesses and visitors to the Colchester area.  It provides information on local businesses & services, lists places of interest, things to do and much more.  The site was launched in January 2007 and is expanding every day with the help and input of local people.
