Description Manningtree High Street will be fully closed to traffic for the first time in more than five years as part of its ‘Weird & Wonderful’ Christmas celebrations on Friday, 9 December. The late-night shopping event will include street entertainment, festive stalls and the performances from local community groups to fill the town with Christmas cheer. Festivities will kick-off with a performance from award-winning magician and fire-eater David J Marks and carol singers from local churches and will continue with magical street performances and fun throughout the evening when the streets will be filled with stalls providing a variety of refreshments, hot food, local produce, gifts and games. Manningtree’s ‘Weird & Wonderful Christmas’ event takes place on Friday, December 9 from 6pm to 9pm in and around the High Street.
